GameHub is a competition to search for and invest in potential game projects, making its debut at the Vietnam GameVerse 2024 event, held at Phu Tho Stadium on May 11-12.

After the nomination round and presentations with dozens of participating projects, the expert council has selected 6 projects for the finals, including The Scourge (horror genre), Rune Seeker (turn-based strategy), Lacbird Intedify (educational game), Silkroad Origin Mobile (role-playing), Magic Typer (educational), Animal Push Royale (role-playing, battle royale). They will take the stage to present their products, such as the idea, content, and development roadmap in 5 minutes, followed by 10 minutes to raise capital and answer questions from investors and partners. Taking place within the framework of GameVerse, GameHub has not only attracted the attention of investors but also garnered the interest of hundreds of passionate gamers at the event. They eagerly cheered and applauded after each game presentation. Representatives from the projects appeared confident, albeit a bit nervous, but they were excited and honored to have made it to the finals, while also expressing good wishes to their "competitors," with the desire to collaborate in developing the Vietnamese gaming community and expanding globally.

The program was opened by the game project "The Scourge" from the developer Rare Reverse. The project representative was a bit nervous at the beginning, but quickly regained confidence and delivered an engaging presentation about the product.

"The Scourge" has debuted a demo and received a lot of positive feedback. The game falls into the horror genre, with a storyline and setting entirely in Vietnam. The product is expected to be released around August to October. The company has invested 4 billion VND in developing this game and hopes to sell 50,000 copies, priced at around 12 USD each. In addition to profitability from game sales, they called on investors to export Vietnamese culture to the world through gaming.

After the presentation, the project garnered the interest of four judges and investors. They appreciated the Vietnamese elements in the game but also inquired about the revenue structure, production process, and market potential. The challenging questions were convincingly addressed by the developers.

After nearly 2 hours, GameHub concluded amidst the excitement of all six teams and the investors. They continued to spend more time networking and sharing further insights about their inquiries. Some investors and game publishers also expressed their desire to immediately sign deals with some developers at GameHub.
